Meet Ronald A. Lohner, M.D., Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Lohner graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College in 1982 with high distinction in his major field of study. He attended Rutgers Medical School (now Robert Wood Johnson) where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After completion of medical school, Dr. Lohner completed a full general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut and achieved certification by the American Board of Surgery. From 1990-1991 he served as Chief Resident at Hartford Hospital and was awarded the Edward Weck Award for Outstanding Chief Resident. Dr. Lohner completed his education and training with a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania from 1991-1993. His training was concentrated primarily at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania.
After completing his plastic surgery residency Dr, Lohner joined an established practice on the main line and subsequently transitioned into a solo private practice in Bryn Mawr in 1999. In 2005 Dr. Lohner was named Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Highly regarded as one of the top board certified plastic surgeons in Philadelphia, Dr. Lohner enjoys a faculty appointment at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and is a member of many regional and national plastic surgery societies, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. His areas of expertise include a wide range of aesthetic surgery, breast reconstruction and skin cancer reconstruction.
